Bank Deposit Reversal Issues

From November 12th 2025, we've added new deposit details to all HardBlock accounts created before August 5th, 2025.

April 2026 Update: We've noticed as of this month that some banks are conducting reversals of transfers made to old details, so we recommend switching to use the new details as soon as possible. If you are already using the new details since we released them, no further action needs to be taken.

Note: If you signed up after August 5th, 2025, you're already on the new details and won't notice any changes.

These new set of details are intended to assist users experiencing issues with their banks limiting or restricting transfers to our original banking details. We recommend that you start to use these new details for your transfers, and update any existing DCA transfers to these new details too.

You will see your new details when you navigate to Australian Dollars > Deposit, under the Bank Transfer heading. New details use the BSB 257-775 and a new account number unique to your account.

You can still access and use your old details by clicking the drop-down menu:

Your previous details are still active, however they will be retired in the future once we are satisfied that the new details are working for all accounts and banks. We have received reports from April 1 2026 onwards that deposits to the old details are being reversed, so consider switching ASAP.

Please note, the new BSB cannot be used with your old account number: you must use the new account number provided alongside the new BSB.

Depending on your bank, your experience may differ when depositing to the new details.

If your bank is 'crypto-phobic', you may experience a 24 hour hold in your first EFT transfer to the new details. If your funds don't arrive after 24 hours during the work week, you may need to contact your bank to get the funds released.

What about PayID?

Your existing PayID has been ported over to the new details, and in our testing we've seen PayID's go through instantly to the new details with no issues if you have previously used PayID to deposit into your account.

First-time usage of PayID may still encounter a 24 hour hold as above.

What is happening to the old details?

At this time, your original details are also active and can still be used for deposits, however at some future point we may fully disable these details, leaving only the new details active. Therefore, we recommend you switch to the new details when possible.

We will send out a notification if and when the previous details will be disabled to give you plenty of time to switch any DCAs or saved banking details in your banking app over.

Any transfers to the old details after this deactivation will simply time-out and return funds to your bank account.

Update: As of April 1st 2026, we've received reports of some banks reversing deposits made to the old details, so users should migrate to the new details as soon as possible.
